Born in Granada in 1966, Jesus Bellido comes from a great line of guitar makers. At the age of thirteen he began doing the first works in his father's workshop, Manuel Bellido, and at the age of seventeen he built his first guitar. Towards the end of the '80s and mid' 90s, he worked as a guitarmaking teacher in various training programs in Andalusia, also participating in many talks, demonstrations and exhibitions held with the world of guitar and luthery.
Jesus has a great interest in studying the work of great masters such as Antonio de Torres, Santos Hernández, Louis Panormo, Jose Pages, Jose Pernas and Manuel de la Chica, and he regularly performs reproductions and recreations of these master's most remarkable instruments.
Jesus Bellido is at a great moment of maturity in the construction of his guitars, highlighting his instruments for an outstanding ease of playing, great care in the selection of woods, a remarkable craftsmanship and an excellent sound.
